Wie geht Hardlink Backup damit um, wenn während dem Verschieben bspw. der Rechner anstürzt und nur ein Teil der Dateien verschoben wurden?

Ich habe Mal den Linkscript Mode näher ausprobiert und muss wohl erst einmal davon Abstand nehmen, da er nicht einwandfrei funktioniert. Was für mich sehr bedauerlich ist.

Eine Kleinigkeit ist, dass bei Linked nur die mehr als 100 Ordner angibt, die erstellt wurden, aber nicht die Anzahl der Dateien, die im Script sind. obwohl beim Linked-Datenvolumen von ein Gigabyte steht.

Gravierender ist, dass es zu Fehlern beim Ausführen vom Script kommt, obwohl das Backup vorher ohne Fehler durchgelaufen ist. Ich bekomme mehrfach ein Windows-Popup, dass die Datei nicht existiere und daher kein Hardlink angelegt werden könne:

Das ist fatal und wäre vermeidbar, gerade wenn Hardlink Backup die Abarbeitung des Scripts übernehmen könnte.

Schade, es würde meine Backups von 45-60 Minuten auf 10-15 Minuten verkürzen.

Also unter Linux habe ich immer http://storebackup.org/ verwendet. Das kann ziemlich das gleiche wie Hardlink Backup unter Windows. Aber es ist ein reines Console-Programm, so dass man sich nicht an der GUI groß stören kann ;-)

ich weiß, dass ext4 hardlinks unterstützt. Aber tut es auch rsyncbackup 1.3.3? Gibt es hierzu Erfahrungen? Beim Umstieg von einer normalen USB-Festplatte auf ein NAS stehe ich vor einer Entscheidung, mit welcher Backup-Software ich in Zukunft weiterarbeiten kann.

Bevor Antworten kommen, dass ich auf HardlinkBackup updaten soll: Ich mag die neue optische Aufmachung einfach nicht. Entweder wird es mit rsyncbackup noch gehen oder ich benötige eine andere Software.

Ich habe gerade versucht mein lokales Backup zu starten (von einer internen Festplatte zu einer anderen), dabei kam ein Dialog mit der Meldung “Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.” und die GUI von Hardlink Backup ist abgestürzt.

Nachdem ich dann die GUI erneut gestartet habe, habe ich gesehen, dass das Backup selbst aber erfolgreich gestartet wurde.

Ja, die Übersicht habe ich eigentlich neu implementiert. Bei mir sieht’s seitdem auch gut aus ;) . Evtl. hast Du ein Backup, das das Einlesen der Übersicht über Gebühr aufhält. Unter <benutzerverzeichnis>\AppData\Local\Lupinho.Net\HardlinkBackup.exe_Url_<kryptisch>\2.1.8335.0 liegt die Datei “user.config”, in der HardlinkBackup Deine Benutzerspezifischen Einstellungen speichert. Du kannst die Datei Löschen – wenn Du damit Leben kannst, die Einstellungen (z.B. E-Mail) in HardlinkBackup neu vorzunehmen – oder Du öffnest sie mit einem Texteditor und suchst nach “LastBackupDefinitions”. Mit ein wenig XML-Kenntnissen kannst Du dann den Eintrag löschen (mach vorher ein Backup der Datei). Beim nächsten Start von HardlinkBackup ist dann die Liste der letzten Backups leer. Sobald Du dann wieder eine HLB-Datei öffnest und ein Backup startest, wird sie in die Liste aufgenommen. Wenn das Laden der Backupsätze sehr lange dauert oder die Übersicht wieder träge wird, hast Du den Übeltäter gefunden. Evtl. ist ein Backupsatz kaputt und es genügt den Backupsatz zu löschen (falls das geht).

Komischer Fehler. Du führst doch aber das Backup aus der Übersicht aus? Der Fehler kommt, wenn das Backup durchgelaufen ist und die Zusammenfassung angezeigt wird. Es sieht so aus, als gäbe es keinen erzeugten Backupsatz – was seltsam ist. Kannst Du mir vielleicht das komplette Log der Anwendung aber auch des Backupdurchlaufs sowie die HBD-Datei und eine genaue Beschreibung, wie Du den Fehler reproduzieren kannst an software@lupinho.net schicken? Dann kann ich versuchen dem Problem auf die Schliche zu kommen…

ich habe vor ca. 1 Woche die aktuelle Version installiert (einfach die entsprechende Meldung in Hardlinkbackup akzeptiert).
Backups laufen weiterhin ohne Probleme, allerdings ist die Liste mit den bereits gelaufenen Backups immernoch leer und die Liste mit den geplanten Backups ist machmal leer und meine Backup erscheint oft erst nachdem ich mit der Maus über die Liste gefahren bin.
Dachte das wäre mit der neuen Version behoben.
Kann ggf. gerne Logs und andere Daten zur Verfügung stellen…
Nichts desto trotz funktioniert das Backup an sich absolut perfekt! Bin weiterhin begeistert.
