Let's say I'm doing a big backup and it crashes.
When I start backuping again the software will use this crashed backup for comparison and link what's there or it will copy everything again?

You can choose: Normally it will not include the failed backup in the comparison and so copy everything again. But if you hold CTRL and the hover over the failed backup set, you can select the backup set for comparison (the checkmark appears). Note, that no index-file exists for failed backup set. So the backup set is scanned from the files (which is slower) and no checksums exists (they will be re-calculated).
