I wonder if there is a way I could compare (1) and (2) and then write what changed on (3).

It would be like storing a differential backup in another drive.

No. In theory the software could do that, but none of the backup modes works like this. I also don‘t know, what advantage this should have and how following backups should work. What you can do - and what i recommend - is using multiple discs doing backups and change them from time to time.
